All three finalists on one page, each in dark and light. The light treatments follow what the real apps actually do rather than inverting colors: Cameo turns the room to paper and leaves the portraits as full-color photographs (and keeps the call dark with frosted white controls, the way FaceTime does) · Flighty flips night to daylight: the globe becomes a day map and navy becomes ink · Robinhood goes to their real pure-white light mode, where the gold chart carries even more weight than it does on black. Gold stays gold in every mode: it only ever means money.

Faces first, price on the card
Cameo sells people, so every surface is a portrait: search, category pills, photo rails with the price on the card, a full-bleed talent page, and a call that keeps their self-view PiP. Portrait slots are placeholders, and real talent photography drops straight in.

What changes: only the room. The talent cards keep their full saturation in daylight, which is the whole trick, and it is why this direction's light mode costs almost nothing to build. The call screen stays dark because a video call is its video; only the controls turn frosted white, exactly the way FaceTime handles it.

What changes: the sky. The globe goes from night-side to day-side, pale blue with white latitude rings, and navy text becomes ink, but the gold arc, the moving dot and every number stay exactly where they were. This is the direction where light mode gains the most legibility: the plain-language status sentences read like a printed itinerary.

What changes: black to white, and almost nothing else, which is the point. Robinhood's system was built to survive the flip, so the gold chart, the gold price chips and the giant number all hold. Green and red drop a shade to stay legible on white. This is the cheapest light mode of the three and the one most likely to match what people already have their phone set to during the day.
Reading the two modes against each other. Cameo barely changes, because photographs carry it either way. Flighty changes the most and gains the most: daylight makes the itinerary sentences read like print. Robinhood changes almost nothing structurally, which is exactly why it is the safest system to build on. If you want one call: ship auto (follow the system), keep the call screen dark in every mode the way FaceTime does, and let the splash stay black and gold so the brand moment never softens. Say 22, 23, 24, or "the merge" (Robinhood grammar for money and scarcity, Cameo rails for discovery), and the full app gets built, both modes, fan and artist side.
