DIRECTION 25.3 · THE FULL JOURNEY

Every screen, and it always says whose phone you are holding: the fan or the artist.

The last set never answered that question, which is a fair thing to be annoyed about. This one answers it twice: every screen is chipped FAN in ink or ARTIST in gold, and the two tracks are separated. The color rule is the app's own: ink is the person paying, gold is the person being paid. Nineteen screens, in the TextingParents app language, from the moment a fan taps a link to the moment an artist's money lands.

TRACK ONE
The fan's phone
Every screen below is the person paying. Chips are ink. She got a text from Dre's payphone, she has never opened this app before, and ten screens later she has a recording she keeps forever.
Phase A · Getting in: a link, a number, no password
Two screens. The phone number is the account, so there is nothing to remember and nothing to steal.

Two doors, one promise. A cold fan taps Get started. A fan who arrived from Dre's drop text taps the second door and skips straight to his payphone with the slot still held.

HOW IT CONNECTS
All calls happen in the Pay Phone app. Dre can't call you, you can't call him.

The whole price argument happens before the charge, not after. Apple Pay on the sheet, because this is a real service between two people and not a digital good.

TRACK TWO
The artist's phone
The same app, the other side. Chips are gold. Dre never browses anyone, never sees a fan's number, and only ever answers three questions: when am I open, what does it cost, and where is my money.

The rule that answers your question everywhere in the app: ink is the person paying, gold is the person being paid. A fan's primary button is ink and her one gold control is the one that spends. An artist's primary button is gold and he has no ink at all, because he never spends anything. If you ever look at a screen in this system and cannot tell whose phone it is, that is a bug in the screen, not in the reader.
