Cancel policy

If you booked a call

• More than 24 hours before your slot: cancel any time for a 100% refund, automatic, to your original payment method. Banks take 3 to 5 business days to post it.
• Inside 24 hours: no refund, but you can reschedule once to any open slot on that payphone within 30 days.
• You don't join: if you never enter the call within your slot's join window, the booking is complete and not refunded. The celebrity showed up for you.
• You're removed for conduct: calls are recorded and monitored. If a call is terminated for harassment or explicit conduct, the payment is forfeited and the account is banned. The celebrity is still paid in full.

If the celebrity cancels or doesn't show

• They cancel at any time: 100% refund, automatic, the moment they cancel, plus first access when their payphone reopens.
• They don't join within the window: 100% refund fires automatically within minutes of the window closing. You do nothing.
• Repeated cancels and no-shows lower a payphone's public pickup rate and can pause the payphone entirely.

Timing details

• The timer starts only when both parties are on. A late join by the celebrity never shortens your call.
• Mid-call extensions are separate purchases and follow this same policy.
• All times are shown in your local timezone at booking; the 24-hour rule uses the slot's start time.

Questions or disputes

Every call has a recording and a join log. If something went wrong, reply to any booking email or write help@joinpayphone.com — a human reads it, and the evidence settles it fast.
