Terms of Service

Draft v1 · 07/17/2026 · pending counsel review before public launch

1. What Pay Phone is

Pay Phone is a marketplace that lets fans book and pay for scheduled, time-limited video calls with verified talent. Pay Phone provides the booking, payment, calling, and recording infrastructure; the call itself is between you and the other person.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You must be 18 or older to book or receive calls. Fans identify with a phone number, email, and valid payment method. Talent payphones are claimed through management partners and phone-verified. You are responsible for activity under your number.

3. Bookings, pricing, and payments

Prices are set by talent and shown all-in; there are no added service fees. Payment is collected at booking through our payment processor (Stripe) and held until the call completes. Talent receives 80% of the listed price. Mid-call extensions are separate purchases at the same terms, charged to your saved payment method only when you tap to confirm.

4. Cancellations and refunds

The cancel policy is part of these terms. In short: full automatic refunds more than 24 hours out or whenever talent cancels or fails to join; one reschedule inside 24 hours; no refund for fan no-shows or conduct terminations.

5. Recording and consent

Every call is recorded, and both parties consent to recording as a condition of the call. Fans receive a personal copy for private use. Talent retains an archive of their own calls. Commercial redistribution of a recording requires the other party's written permission.

6. Conduct

No harassment, threats, hate, nudity or sexual conduct, recording-free demands, solicitation of off-platform contact, or use by minors. Violating calls may be terminated by automated systems or human review. Conduct terminations forfeit payment. Talent is paid in full for calls a fan ruins.

7. Talent obligations

Talent agrees to appear personally for booked calls (no stand-ins), to keep pickup commitments, and to the payout and revenue-share terms in their talent agreement. Repeated no-shows can pause or remove a payphone.

8. Disclaimers and liability

Calls are personal conversations, not professional advice. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pay Phone's liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the booking at issue. We provide the service "as is."

9. Disputes

Contact help@joinpayphone.com first; recordings and join logs resolve most disputes quickly. Unresolved disputes go to binding arbitration on an individual basis, governed by the laws of the State of California.

10. Changes

We'll notify you by email before material changes to these terms take effect. Continued use after notice is acceptance.
